Child Birth Class.....

Jared and I opted to take a Child Birth class through the hospital where we will be having our sweet baby boy! This week was our last class and Jared got the chance to try on the empathy belly and showed the class how to hold a baby when breastfeeding. What an amazing dad he is going to be in November.

32 Weeks and Counting...

Baby Sutherland weighs as much as a jicama. Our baby is taking up more and more space in my uterus and weighs as much as a large jicama -- about 3 3/4 pounds.

Last Thursday I had a doctor's appointment and Baby S is growing right on tack at at that time measuring in at 31 weeks. Heartbeat was 135 beats per minute. He has not yet flipped over but the doctor was not worried and says we have plenty of time. Praying he flips before he is gets to big! :)

Single Digits... 9 weeks to go

Baby Brisket (this is now Jared's new name for our sweet Baby Sutherland) weighs as much as four oranges. (Length: over 16 inches, head to heel.)

This week, our baby measures over 16 inches long and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up.

Yesterday was our third birthing class and we got to tour the birthplace. We even got to swing by the nursery to take a look at the new babies. Loved it! Jared was suppose to wear the empathy belly but we ran out of time but our teacher said we always have next week! So expect that picture next week!

Each week at work we try and figure out which way he laying and today we decided that he is transverse with his butt on my right side. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow at 10:10 am so maybe she can confirm his position.

KSU Wildcats

Saturday was Baby Sutherland's first trip to Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The game didn't start until 6:00 pm but we headed out to tailgate around 1:00 pm. Reid and Uncle Barry joined us since they were lucky enough to get Colin's tickets! Our friends Dustin and Emily joined us at our tailgate. It was a great game and we had a lot of fun.

This was Colin's first game as a Manager and we were able to spot him working away.

After the game Colin gave Jared, Reid and Barry a tour of the complex. Reid being a KU fan still got his picture taken on the field. He will be wearing purple before we know it.

This is the first of many KSU football game for Baby Sutherland! We can't wait to take him to games!

And the Count Down on Two hands begins....

Baby Sutherland weighs as much as a large cabbage. Our baby rivals a good-size cabbage in weight, tipping the scales this week at 3 pounds. (Length: about 15 3/4 inches, head to heel.)

Next Tuesday in birthing class is when Jared will be wearing the Prego Belly! I am so excited! Next Wednesday I will be posting a picture!

29 weeks and Counting....

Yesterday Jared and I started our 4 week long birthing class! It is going to very interesting and informative. Week 3 Jared will get to try on an empathy belly and yes I will be taking a picture.. If only it would give him heartburn and press on his bladder. I have never had heartburn in my life until this pregnancy. Tums are now my best friend but that is okay because they provide calcium.

Baby Sutherland is the size of a butternut squash. Our baby is as big as a butternut squash, weight wise -- about 2 1/2 pounds. (Length: a tad over 15 inches, head to heel.)

We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I have now started going every two weeks and then in October it will move to every week! We are getting excited for our little guy to arrive. Not much longer!
